War = Good, Medical Research = Bad

I have the sure-fire feeling that George Bush would feel differently about stem cell research if he or one of his associates were plauged with some life-threatening disease that could be helped or prevented with the research.

Or maybe not. President Bush is one of those guys that would get the help for the friend, but still hold his view. John Kerry might have been a flip-flopper, but Bush's opinions stay the same, no matter how the facts weigh in.

Bush doesn't see the economical implications of denying stem cell research. Proven that stem cells can be used for a multitude of ailments, the market is ripe for such advancements in science.

The administration has taken a stunted view on science and technology. Despite benefits proven time and time again they raise the question of morality. Which I find humourus that the administration is being so adamant on the sanctity of life when as we speak hundreds die a day from aids, hundreds are dying from war caused by U.S intervention.

Oh, how wonderous it is when your market freedoms and the process of advancement is being withheld because of one person' moral and ethical beliefs. I wonder how the organ market will fare?
